KPMG recently issued a new IFRS publication "The Effects of IFRS on Information Systems". (Link to this has been corrected - I apologize for the inconvenience and thanks to the reader who pointed out the error).
The 24 page book deals with the implications of IFRS on information systems. How should IT be built into the conversion process, the major issues affecting IT, risks, audit issues including the dangers of using Excel worksheets as short term solutions. It's worth reading.
Please search this blog for other material on IT issues for IFRS, including XBRL.
