Paul Cherry to Chair SAC

It was recently announced that Paul Cherry will lead the IASB's Standards Advisory Council (SAC)
SAC is responsible for.

• advising the Board on agenda decisions and priorities in the Board's work,
• informing the Board of the views of the organisations and individuals on the Council on major standard-setting projects, and
• giving other advice to the Board or to the Trustees.

There are 30+ members from a variety of organizations and constituencies.

Paul's term runs for three years starting January 1, 2009.

Paul has been Chair of the Canadian AcSB since 2001 and retires from that role in March next year.
